Refund Policy

CoursePay subscription fees

Subscription fees are billed weekly in arrears. If you cancel, no further fees are charged after the current billing period. We do not pro-rata refund the current period, but we will consider a refund on request where you have not used the service materially in that period — email hello@coursepay.co.

Platform transaction fees

Platform transaction fees (the 2% on Starter, per your plan) are automatically reversed when the underlying invoice is voided or the payment is refunded. This happens automatically in the ledger; nothing to do on your side.

Payments to academies from students

Refunds of student payments are between you and the student. Card refunds can be issued from the payment record inside the app; funds return to the original payment method subject to Stripe's timelines (typically 5–10 business days). Bank-transfer refunds are made directly from your bank.

Chargebacks

If a student disputes a card payment, Stripe's chargeback process applies. We surface the dispute in the app and reverse the associated platform fee. You are responsible for the underlying dispute and any Stripe chargeback fee.
